Module Overview

The aim of this module is to introduce cultural stereotypes and generalisations to managers and employees at the work place. The participant will acquire knowledge and competences on cultural stereotypes and their influence on people working in multicultural organisations.

Participants will identify the main reasons behind cultural stereotypes and find possible cultural biases, prejudices and beliefs. In this module participants will understand what is a cultural stereotype and how to cope with it in the working place.

Time to complete module: 5 hours.

It contains the following topics:

  1. Cultural stereotypes and related risks
  2. Different cultural stereotypes
  3. Cultural stereotypes factors
  4. The influence of cultural stereotypes in multicultural organisations and possible cultural biases
  5. Self-evaluation test
